Marriage preparation in the parish is meant to enhance the commitment of the couple to one another and to God. The aim is to arrive at an understanding of marriage not simply as a human contract, but as Christian vocation; as our response to the Call of God in our lives. The psychological preparedness, and the compatibility of the couples are especially stressed as well as their response to God.

Quinceañeras
Alicia Bernal

The tradition of the Quince Años is a popular Hispanic celebration honoring God our Father, and expressing love for Mary our Mother. This tradition traces it origins to ancient rites of passage. It is recognition of the faith journey that a fifteen year old person makes toward a more mature participation in the Christian community. Celebrating the Quince Años in our parish offers the family the opportunity to share their faith and culture in a liturgical context and it offers us an occasion to affirm the richness and diversity of culture found in the church.

The young lady must be registered and must be attending the program of Religious Education. Arrangements must be made six months prior to the celebration.
